I have been reading some articles about Independent Thinking and really like the work of Ian Gilbert. He has been using THUNKS to promote independent thinking. A thunk is a question that promotes thinking and has no right or wrong answer. Here are a few examples… Can you post your thoughts on them? Can you post some more thunks?

- If I lose my memory am I the same person?
- What does the back of a rainbow look like?

I think thunks are/could be very mind-challenging, both thinking them up and solving them.
Is there another dimension, and if there is, could we travel between the two?
Is there a planet with life on it out there?
Is it possible to imgine or think how another person feels, or can you imagine being that person?
Is there God?

I think thunks are really cool, they are quite hard to solve and I think for some of them the only way to answer them is if that actually happened (although some would be extremely difficult).
If humans could travel backwards or forwards in time, what would be the consequences?
what coulored skin did dinosaurs have?
what if we are all just a figment of ours, or someone elses imagination.
I think they are good but they are very hard to think of.
