We are beginning work on CSS.

What are Cascading Style Sheets?

For more information click here

To start the work we looked at the skill of making template in MSWord, to apply to the same text.  We then moved on to creating webpages and making and attaching CSS files to give the pages different styles.

January 19, 2007 · 1 Comment

Year 7 had a task to design a set of 3 leaflets about 3 of their subjects at Year 7. They were designed with a younger audience in mind.

The leaflet had to have a ‘corporate image’. The same look going through each of the 3 leaflets.

You can see some of their designs here -

Streaming Music….your own personal radio station

January 16, 2007 · No Comments

Pandora radio is like having your own personal DJ.  You can select the type of music you want to listen to, or an artist you like the sound of, and pandora will select similar tracks to the sounds that you want.  You can even fine tune it by saying if you like the song or not.

Try it and let me know what you think!

Thunks

January 12, 2007 · 10 Comments

I have been reading some articles about Independent Thinking and really like the work of Ian Gilbert. He has been using THUNKS to promote independent thinking. A thunk is a question that promotes thinking and has no right or wrong answer. Here are a few examples… Can you post your thoughts on them? Can you post some more thunks?

  1. Is there more future or past?
  2. If I lose my memory am I the same person?
  3. What does the back of a rainbow look like?
